Premiere: Watch the Neal Morse Band Play ‘The Vineyard’ From ‘Morsefest 2015’ DVD

Here’s a premiere of “The Vineyard” from the Neal Morse Band, brought to you exclusively by ultimateclassicrock.com. It’s part of a live set called ‘Morsefest 2015,’ available today on two DVD/Blu-rays or four CDs.

Filmed over two nights, ‘Morsefest 2015’ contains full-album performances of 2005’s Question and 2007’s Sola Scriptura and enough songs from Morse’s career — including his time with Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic and his solo work — to offer more than five hours of music. In addition to his regular band, which includes Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater) on drums and vocals, Morse recruited a massive progressive rock orchestra that features guitar wizard Phil Keaggy, a five-piece horn section, strings and a 14-piece choir. The visual presentation was enhanced by three video screens and live dancers.

In addition, there’s also a one-hour documentary about the concerts that produced Morsefest 2015, along with behind-the-scenes moments with the musicians and the crew. “Morsefest 2015 was absolutely incredible for me!” Morse said in pre-release materials. “The artwork on the video wall was absolutely mind blowing. Combine that with the atmosphere of the community of fans and the love in the room…it was definitely a peak experience in my career, and I think the DVD and Blu-ray are among the finest we’ve ever produced.”

On Tuesday, August 22nd, The Neal Morse Band is scheduled to perform at New York City’s historic Gramercy Theatre for an intimate seated show. Tickets are currently on sale, and can be purchased at this link.
