New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Unveils Its 2017 Lineup

Announced earlier today, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has released a powerhouse lineup for its 2017 festival. Founded in 1970, the 46th annual Jazz Fest will take place over the course of two weekends from April 28th – May 7th at the Fair Grounds Race Course in Mid-City New Orleans. This summer’s lineup features a star-studded roster of local and international talent including Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Kings of Leon, Snoop DoggAlabama Shakes and many more. Check out the entire lineup below:

Jazz Fest 2017 Lineup

One unique aspect of Jazz Fest is the main festival and fair ground closes each night at 7pm, which consequently welcomes a frenzy of after hour music and cultural events at unaffiliated venues throughout New Orleans during the two-week stretch. To provide Jazz Fest attendees quality music after 7pm, NYC-based promoter NolaFunk schedules a series of concerts in New Orleans throughout Jazz Fest each year.

For this year’s Jazz Fest, NolaFunk has announced moe. on Thursday, April 27th at Le Petit Theatre, North Mississippi Allstars & Anders Osborne present NMO & The Record Company on Friday, April 28th at Republic NOLA, Dead Feat featuring John K of Furthur, Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Jackie Greene, Anders Osborne, Brady Blade & Carl Durfene on April 29th & 30th at Repubulic Nola, Twiddle on Saturday, April 29th at Republic NOLA, Morgan James on Sunday, April 30th at Le Petit Theatre, Foundation of Funk featuring members of Widespread Panic & The Meters (SOLD OUT) on Thursday, May 4th at Republic NOLA, Tab Benoit & Samantha Fish at Republic NOLA on Friday, May 5th, Big Freedia (live band set) &  The Soul Rebels with special guests Tank and the Bangas on Saturday, May 6th at Republic NOLA, and VooDoo Dead featuring Steve Kimock, Jackie Greene, George Porter Jr., Jeff Chimenti, and JM Kimock on May 6th and May 7th at Republic NOLA.
